The Green River continues its long tortuous journey through the canyons of the American West on it's way to join the Colorado River in southern Utah. Seen here in Dinosaur National Monument it has just been joined by the Yampa River, the only remaining free flowing river in the entire Colorado River basin. Although not obvious in the photograph the border with Utah is within a mile of where you stand, and most of the land before you is in that state.

Joshua House has been described as a photographer, a conservationist, a historian, and an adventurer. Having traveled and worked extensively across the country he is currently concentrating his photographic work in Eastern Texas, centered on Houston. His past creative work has included research, writing, and photography for the Lincoln Home National Historic Site in Illinois, Homestead National Monument of America in Nebraska, and Dinosaur National Monument in Utah and Colorado. As a conservationist he has worked with the US Army Corps of Engineers, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, and the National Park Service.
