The sign of the Sierra Vista Motel in Flagstaff Arizona has stood guard above its building for decades, a stop along the world famous Rt 66 between Chicago and LA. Between the two vertical signs hides a painting of a Saguaro Cactus, which is very out of place amongst the Ponderosa Pines of Northern Arizona.
About Joshua House
Joshua House has been described as a photographer, a conservationist, a historian, and an adventurer. Having traveled and worked extensively across the country he is currently concentrating his photographic work in Eastern Texas, centered on Houston. His past creative work has included research, writing, and photography for the Lincoln Home National Historic Site in Illinois, Homestead National Monument of America in Nebraska, and Dinosaur National Monument in Utah and Colorado.
