The cabin and covered wagon at Rock Creek Station State Historical Park in Nebraska. Rock Creek Station was an important point along the Pony Express route, along with the Oregon and California Trails. It was at this site that Wild Bill Hickok began his controversial career due to his involvement in the death of David McCanles, who was intimidating the station manager.
Joshua House has been described as a photographer, a conservationist, a historian, and an adventurer. Having traveled and worked extensively across the country he is currently concentrating his photographic work in Eastern Texas, centered on Houston. His past creative work has included research, writing, and photography for the Lincoln Home National Historic Site in Illinois, Homestead National Monument of America in Nebraska, and Dinosaur National Monument in Utah and Colorado.
