Often built from the remains of old automobiles, the camp wagons, with high wagon wheels were designed to be able to clear the ruts and boulders of unpaved roads and open land of high pasture. Sheep Camp Wagons are still made, with a high clearance and are sold in the American West for campers, sheep herders, and ranchers.
Joshua House has been described as a photographer, a conservationist, a historian, and an adventurer. Having traveled and worked extensively across the country he is currently concentrating his photographic work in Eastern Texas, centered on Houston. His past creative work has included research, writing, and photography for the Lincoln Home National Historic Site in Illinois, Homestead National Monument of America in Nebraska, and Dinosaur National Monument in Utah and Colorado. As a conservationist he has worked with the US Army Corps of Engineers, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, and the National Park Service.
