Across this field and series of fence lines the Confederate Army attempted to advance to the top of the distant ridge while facing the withering fire of the Union forces deployed along the ridge. This is the site of Pickett�s Charge, the high tide of the Confederacy, and in many ways the final hope of the CSA to achieve independence.
About Joshua House
Joshua House has been described as a photographer, a conservationist, a historian, and an adventurer. Having traveled and worked extensively across the country he is currently concentrating his photographic work in Eastern Texas, centered on Houston. His past creative work has included research, writing, and photography for the Lincoln Home National Historic Site in Illinois, Homestead National Monument of America in Nebraska, and Dinosaur National Monument in Utah and Colorado.
