Liberty in Distress, the official World War One monument of Atlantic City New Jersey, stands staring ever skyward, imprisoned behind the gates intended to keep her safe from the denizens of Atlantic City. The statue was carved by the sculptor Frederick William MacMonnies.

Joshua House has been described as a photographer, a conservationist, a historian, and an adventurer. Having traveled and worked extensively across the country he is currently concentrating his photographic work in Eastern Texas, centered on Houston.
