Artist's Description
The home of Abraham Lincoln in Springfield Illinois. Lincoln bought this house while he and Mary were still newlyweds, three of their sons were born here, and sadly Eddie died here. In 1972 the House was transferred to the National Park Service, which eventually purchased the four surrounding blocks in downtown Springfield creating the current Lincoln Home National Historic Site.
